Q: I’ve got the software installed, how do I get the pictures from the camera?
A: You can download the pictures into any graphics software that supports TWAIN. The camera came with a program called Ixla Explorer, which can be used to download and archive images from the camera. Start Ixla Explorer, and select "Twain Acquire," to start the process.

Q: I try to download the pictures from my camera, but I get a "Camera Not Responding" message and the camera is on and plugged in, how do I make the camera work?
A: The serial port you have connected your camera to may be improperly configured at a hardware level. This is especially likely if you have added an internal modem to your computer. Try changing serial ports, or connecting another serial device to the serial port to verify that it is functioning. You may need to pay a visit to your local computer technician. It is also possible that something is wrong with the camera.

Q: I try do download the pictures from the camera, but I get an "Error 1" message. Why?
A: There is something wrong with the pictures in the camera. Delete the pictures and take new ones.

Q: The camera was working a few weeks ago when I put it away, but now it won’t turn on. Why?
A: The battery is dead. Replace the battery. If storing the camera for extended periods, you should always remove the battery from the camera. If your camera came with the AC adapter, always use the adapter when transferring images from the camera to the PC.
Note: StarDot offers AC adapters and replacement lithium batteries at nearly half the cost of most retail outlets.

Q: How many pictures should my camera store?
A: With the standard 2 Meg flash card, about 8-10 high resolution or 30-40 low resolution pictures. The 4 meg card will hold twice as many pictures.
