Multiple Cameras vs PTZ

Replace your outmoded Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) Camera with a state-of-the-art Express Video Servers or a multi-megapixel NetCam XL camera.

PTZ cameras have several vulnerabilities that are eliminated through the use of a video server operating as many as eight video cameras.

  1. PTZ cameras can only view and record one area at a time. This means that unauthorized activity can be planned when the camera is looking in the wrong direction or is intentionally diverted to a less important activity. This vulnerability is easily exploited, leaving you without the evidence you need.
  2. Multiple cameras can view all areas of interest, 24 hours per day. A mix of wide angle, high-resolution, special night vision, and hidden security cameras makes it more certain that unauthorized activity will be detected. By having video safely stored off-site through the use of web host or NVR, you will have the evidence you need when you need it.
  3. Multiple cameras eliminate the need for expensive and vulnerable human operation of one or more PTZ cameras. Multiple cameras can viewed and/or recorded through our Express 4 and Express 8 Video Servers, viewable in real-time from anywhere you have an Internet connection.
  4. A single 3-megapixel NetCam XL camera can replace multiple standard CCTV cameras. Two or more NetCam XL cameras replace costly unreliable PTZ cameras and in many cases, provide a superior solution.
